Lubin Gets Million Dollar Figueroa Fund
Thanks to the generosity of the Figueroa Family of Westchester, NY, a $1,000,000 fund has been created that is expected to let students enrolled in the Lubin Leaders and Scholars honors program make their international travel experience requirement more meaningful and affordable. Exceptional undergraduate students, regardless of their economic circumstances, will be able to participate in expanded international travel experiences and field studies to important national economies like those of Japan, India and Brazil. >>more info

Third Lubin Fulbright Awarded
In addition to the two Fulbright Awards received by Lubin students Raj Shrestha and Anthony Melendez, which were previously announced, a third Fulbright has been confirmed for Emilio Vozzolo, international management/Italian. Vozzolo received the Fulbright English Teaching Assistanship (ETA) to study for a year in Italy. His research will focus on the role of tourism, Italy's role in the European Union, and the development of modern day Italy and cultural changes since WWII.

15th Annual Lubin Lunch on December 7
Be sure and save the date for the 15th Annual Lubin Alumni Achievement Award Luncheon, which will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007, at One Chase Plaza. Jack Ribeiro, BBA '78, global managing partner, Financial Services Industry, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, is the honoree. The luncheon raises funds for scholarships for outstanding Lubin students who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and service to the University and/or community.

NABA Chapter Places 1st Again
Lubin's student chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) continues to excel within the organization. For the sixth consecutive year, the chapter placed 1st among 24 Division II schools across the nation in NABA's 2007 Student Chapter Reporting Evaluation Program (SCREP). Competing with 142 other schools nationwide, NABA students placed 2nd overall for the quality, quantity, and variety of their chapter activities.
