Commencement is quickly approaching! I look forward to celebrating Lubin’s Class of 2024. This class primarily entered Pace during the COVID-19 pandemic. Class of 2024 Receives Awards and Honors
Outstanding doctoral, master's, and baccalaureate students will be honored at Lubin's Awards Ceremonies on May 15 (Pleasantville Campus) and May 17 (New York City Campus). The highest achieving graduates will be presented with awards that acknowledge their academic, co-curricular, and professional accomplishments. At commencement, on May 20, Pace's Class of 2024 will be honored. Congratulations, graduates!

The Friends of Women in Finance in Greater New York (FWF-GNY) are delighted to announce a symposium on AI-related research to be held on June 6, 2024, at Pace University in New York City. The symposium will bring together academic and industry practitioners with a focus on AI/ML (machine learning) methods in various areas of finance.

Exemplary Excellence - EY Scholarships
The Ernst & Young Fund for Excellence in Accounting Education promotes excellence in accounting at Pace University. Scholarship awards of $5,000 are given to outstanding students in a qualified undergraduate or graduate accounting program. Applications are due May 15 for the 2024-25 academic year. Apply now!

Fund for Excellence - KPMG Scholarships
The KPMG Scholarship Fund for Excellence in Accounting Education provides awards of $5,000 to outstanding Lubin students in a qualified undergraduate or graduate accounting, taxation, data analytics, or information systems program. Applications for 2025 scholarships will open in Fall 2024.

Renewable Energy Conference
In June, Lubin will co-host the 2024 Renewable Energy Conference with The Business Council of New York State, Inc. and The Hudson Renewable Energy Institute. The conference will be held on Pace’s Pleasantville Campus and will address New York state’s efforts to expand renewable energy generation and related issues impacting the state’s electric market and overall economy.

Beta Alpha Psi Wins Big
Pace University’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) won first place in the Innovation Best Practice Competition at the 2024 BAP Mid-Year Regional Meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana. BAP is now qualified to compete at the national level at the 2024 Beta Alpha Psi Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, this July.

Small Business Development Center Updates
Andrew Flamm, regional director, Pace University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), joined senior staff from the NYSBDC network at New York’s capitol to discuss the SBDC’s free business advisory services and training programs with legislators. The Center also unveiled its 2023 Year In Review, highlighting its no-cost advisory services, training programs, and successful client stories.

Professor Jessica Magaldi, JD, is bringing Taylor Swift to campus next fall. In her course, Music Industry Law (Taylor’s Version), Professor Magaldi and her class will dive into the legal aspects of the music industry using Swift’s disputes and lawsuits as examples.

Professor Claudia Green, PhD, received a Fulbright Specialist Award. She will be traveling to Andalusia, Spain. While in Spain, Professor Green will be working with faculty at the Universidad de Sevilla conducting research and teaching agritourism. Congratulations, Professor Green!

The Alumni Association's School Committees provide a way for alumni to engage and connect with one another based on affinity to their school.
