Message from Dean Lawrence G. Singleton

In the last issue of #LubinLife I announced that Pace University and AnD Ventures launched the new Pace Entrepreneurship Studio (PES), which is headquartered at the Lubin School of Business. The Studio provides student, alumni, and faculty entrepreneurs with a tailor-made roadmap to build or grow their startups into successful ventures. Recently, PES onboarded three student and alumni-operated, tech-based startups that are meeting the wishes and demands of the marketplace. Learn more about these companies, and in this issue, read about some of the exciting things taking place at Lubin.

Xerox CEO Next Executive in Residence

Annual Pace Business Poll

The second annual Pace Business Poll, administered by our student research group, Pace Connect, found that more than half the respondents were optimistic about the future of New York City and surrounding areas for business. Participate in the 2023 poll!

Pace Entrepreneurship Studio

The Pace Entrepreneurship Studio is offering students and alumni a wealth of opportunities to turn their business ideas into reality with engaging workshops, monthly lectures, and common hour events.

Associate Deans

It is a pleasure to announce that Randi Priluck now serves as Lubin's senior associate dean and Katherine M. Richardson is Lubin's new associate dean for Graduate Programs. Congratulations to both Deans Priluck and Richardson!

International Field Studies and Travel Scholarships

Faculty-led international marketing field studies will take Lubin students to Scandinavia, Belgium, and the United Kingdom this year. Travel scholarships in the amount of $2,000-$3,000 are available to help qualified students participate in field studies or a semester abroad. Apply now!

Leading on Many Fronts

Congratulations to members of Pace University's American Marketing Association (AMA) for receiving a commendable mention during the 2023 AMA Case Competition. AMA members were tasked with solving a detailed marketing problem.

Revival of the Fittest

Eight members of Lubin's Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) chapter were selected to attend the BAP Best Practice Competition sponsored by Deloitte to share how the chapter was revived after the pandemic began to wane.

Easing the Financial Burden of Textbooks

A national survey of 5,000 college students found that 65 percent put off buying textbooks because they are too expensive. By developing and curating free readings, videos, and other Open Educational Resources for her Business Law course, Professor Jessica Magaldi is finding ways to lower the cost of textbooks to create equal opportunity in the classroom.
