Welcome to the Winter issue of #LubinLife. At Lubin, we continue to advance in a number of areas including rankings, experiential learning, faculty scholarship, and competitions. I am so proud of our community of Go-Getters striving toward excellence and impact. Often, we say "Lubin Means Business," and this is evident in our achievements. Small Business Development Center - New Brooklyn Location!

Pace University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) just expanded to offer in-person and virtual services to Brooklyn-based entrepreneurs. The SBDC's dedicated team offers free one-on-one advisement, training, market research, and guidance for entrepreneurs to start, grow, and sustain small businesses. All Pace SBDC services are offered at no cost to its clients through funding support by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of New York, and Pace University.

Jack Yurkiewicz, PhD, a cherished Lubin faculty member and friend, recently passed away. A long-time New Yorker, he retired from Pace in 2019 after 37+ years of dedicated service. Dr. Yurkiewicz’s kind and friendly nature, coupled with his professional approach to his duties, will be missed.

All alumni are invited to attend as we honor class years ending in 4s and 9s as they celebrate their milestone anniversaries.

This year's Spirit of Pace Awards Dinner will honor Pat A. Di Filippo with the Leaders in Management Award and the following Lubin School of Business alumni with awards: Kevin S. Richards ’99 - Lubin Alumni Achievement Award; Andrea Stewart-Cousins ’86 ’08 – Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters; Michael A. Clinton ’83 —Impact Award. The ceremony will be held at the American Museum of Natural History on Thursday, June 13.

If you're a Lubin School of Business student on #PaceU's NYC Campus, you may have seen Clarice with her human Theo Massie, one of our undergraduate academic advisors. "Clarice is always eager to engage with students in and outside the classroom, especially if you have yummy treats to give," Theo said. "She brings joy to everyone she meets in a day!" We think Clarice deserves an honorary Lubin dog-gree. If you see Clarice around campus, snap a picture, and tag us!

MBA in Business Analytics student Jenna Pearse ’25 is setting a new standard in the Northeast 10 Conference! Last month, Jenna set the top times in the conference in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events, clocking in at 1:54.63 and 5:04.46, respectively. The prior top times were 1:55.84 and 5:09.52. "These times caught me by surprise, especially amidst such a demanding season," she said. "Trust in my coaches and teammates fuels my journey, and I'm excited to carry this momentum into the upcoming conference. I'm grateful to know I'm in the right place and making my last year of swimming unforgettable." Way to go, Jenna! Read more about Jenna's accomplishment.
