Management professor and maritime industry expert Dr. Andrew Coggins has recently been featured in various news outlets citing his expertise. The Los Angeles Times and South China Morning Post interviewed him about Disney's expanding line of cruise ships, and he was interviewed by KGMI News/Talk 790 Radio Station about cruising during the hurricane season. He also spoke with CBS News and News 12 about the dockworkers strike.

Franklyn Smith '89 joined the Lubin Dean's Roundtable to talk to students about his distinguished 32-year career at PwC, where he was Lead Audit Partner for some of PwC's largest, most complex and respected financial services clients. Mr. Smith is also an active supporter of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and was Partner Sponsor for the Black Inclusion Network in PwC's New York office.

George Papadopoulos '93

With over thirty years of financial expertise, George Papadopoulos '93 shared his insights with Lubin students as part of the Dean's Roundtable series. Mr. Papadopoulos spoke about his various roles, which involve many aspects of the business ranging from client interaction, capital raising, audits, tax preparation, compliance with SEC rules and regulations, and management of day to day functions.

UN Millennium Fellows

Lubin students were selected for prestigious United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network (MCN) Fellowships. They launched own individual or group projects related to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students will have the opportunity to connect with peers and leaders from all over the world while engaging in world-class professional development sessions.

Founder's Day: Happy Birthday, Joseph Lubin

Lubin celebrated the milestone 125th birthday of our school's namesake, Joseph Lubin, as well as the lives of the university's founders, Homer and Charles Pace, during a special Founders' Day event on November 14. The Pace community enjoyed a walk through history, exciting games with prizes, photos with a historic backdrop, free boater hats and bow ties, birthday cake, and other festivities.

Making Accounting Diverse and Equitable Leadership Summit

Lubin students attended Deloitte's Making Accounting Diverse and Equitable (MADE) Leadership Summit, where they developed and presented a five-minute pitch, engaged with Deloitte's recruiters, and participated in Q&A sessions. This transformative experience opened new avenues for students to network with accounting professionals and gain valuable insights into the accounting industry.

The Front Yard continues to explore different approaches to higher education.

This year, 17 teams from Lubin are participating in the Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge as part of a trading course led by Professor Emil Mathew. This competition offers students the chance to apply their investment theories in a real-world context, working with actual companies, real-time data, and experiencing market fluctuations firsthand. We wish the best of luck to our Lubin students!
