Innovation Day

Across the Lubin School of Business, exceptional work is underway, driven by our shared sense of purpose. Our mission is to develop adaptive, resilient leaders who thrive in disruption, are fluent in innovation, AI and emerging technologies, and are empowered through experiential learning and lifelong career development. This semester, we continue to move forward by advancing our mission through workstreams that enable us to showcase faculty and student excellence, impactful industry events, technological innovation, scholarship, and national recognition of our programs. This issue highlights a few of our achievements and our progress to date.

Executive In Residence

Executive In Residence

Cheryl Guerin '92, executive vice president, Global Brand Strategy and Innovation, Mastercard, will be Lubin's Executive in Residence on April 6 and April 13. A passionate and accomplished marketer, Guerin oversees the strategy and activation of Mastercard's highly decorated Priceless campaign, advancing the brand to consumers and B2B audiences through cutting-edge advertising, media, digital marketing, and innovative insights that inform and inspire new opportunities for the business. NEW Business Insights and Innovation Forum

Lubin’s new Business Insights and Innovation Forum series brings top thought leaders in business to campus to share their insights and experiences with students. This initiative fosters a dynamic learning environment and provides students with invaluable exposure to industry leaders. Our first guest, Ron McGann MBA '96, vice chairman and head of the Insurance Principals Practice, J.P. Morgan Private Bank, shared his career trajectory while also discussing what universities can do to prepare students to be career-ready, particularly in the age of AI.

Ernst & Young Scholarship

Ernst & Young Scholarship

The Ernst & Young Fund for Excellence in Accounting Education was established by Ernst & Young LLP to promote education excellence in accounting at Pace University. The fund provides scholarships of $5,000 ($2,500 for the fall semester and $2,500 for the spring semester) each to outstanding students who are enrolled in the Lubin School of Business in a qualified accounting program and have maintained a 3.30 GPA. Apply now!

PCAOB Scholarship

PCAOB Accounting Scholarship

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) has selected Lubin's Accounting Department to nominate three students, including one transfer student, to become a PCAOB Scholar for the 2026-2027 academic year. The candidate must have a GPA of 3.30 or higher. Awards in the amount $15,000 are made to outstanding students in undergraduate or graduate accounting degree programs. Submit a self-nomination letter to your accounting professor before May 15, 2026.

Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholarship

The Deloitte Foundation–Pace University Accounting Scholars Program is now open for applications. This scholarship is for students pursuing or who plan to pursue graduate study in accounting. It is also for individuals who already hold an undergraduate degree in accounting and are pursuing graduate study in taxation or finance. The program provides up to ten full-tuition scholarships covering 100% of tuition and academic fees. Apply now!

Accreditation Accolades

The Lubin School of Business is proud to announce that it has successfully maintained its dual accreditation in both business and accounting by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Fewer than 2% of business schools in the world offering business degree programs have obtained this elite dual accreditation. This achievement speaks to the quality of a Lubin education and the dedication of stakeholders to Lubin's strategic goals and mission.

Travel to Europe

International marketing, part of Lubin's field study courses, takes learning beyond the classroom. In the fall of 2026, students will have an opportunity to study European markets, culture, and Brexit through hands-on experiences in Belgium and England as they meet business leaders and explore how global marketing works in real time. They're Back! - ALPFA

The Lubin School of Business is excited to welcome back its chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), one of the nation's largest professional organizations dedicated to empowering Latino leaders through mentorship, professional development, community building, and leadership opportunities. Undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher are encouraged to join and connect with a community focused on growth and career success.

Actionable AI

On March 13, Pace University hosted the Actionable AI Conference - a free, one-day event dedicated to discussing practical AI solutions for today's business challenges. Leaders representing Morgan Stanley, Zoom, NYU, and Google were among the attendees gaining hands-on insights into AI adoption, governance, and innovation. The conference allowed for a focused, results-driven conversation about turning AI strategy into action.

Lubin Link Podcast

Partner, professor, and playwright Addison O'Donnell '14 shares how he built a career at the intersection of law and creativity on the podcast. From Lubin to partnership, he reflects on mentorship, problem-solving, and pursuing musical theater alongside his legal career.

Small Business Development Center

The Pace University Small Business Development Center's (SBDC) 2025 Year in Review report highlights the center's expansion into Brooklyn, New York, to better serve small business owners in the borough, including new satellite locations in Red Hook, Park Slope, and Williamsburg. The report also features the center's free small business programming that helps small businesses gain access to capital, along with inspiring client success stories. See the full report!

The Front Yard (TFY) at Pace University empowers student entrepreneurs through mentorship, resources, and a dynamic startup community. Currently supporting eight student-led startups—and expanding each semester—TFY is where bold ideas gain traction and real businesses take shape.

Professor Eunhee (Emily) Ko, PhD, brings data, analytics, and real-world insight into the classroom. Blending quantitative marketing research, industry experience, and hands-on teaching, she equips students with the tools to analyze consumer behavior and thrive in today's data-driven business environment.

Professor Barbara Farrell

For more than four decades, Professor Barbara Farrell, EdD, CPA taught and mentored generations of students in auditing, accounting information systems, forensic accounting, and internal auditing. A Pace Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award honoree in 2024, she began teaching at the university in 1980 as an adjunct professor and joined the faculty full time in 1984. Her contributions to Pace University, the Lubin School of Business, and accounting education are immeasurable. The community mourns her loss.

Professor William O'Keefe

William (Bill) Michael O'Keefe, D.Bus., was a professor of business management at the Lubin School of Business. O'Keefe taught by example and gave without expectation. He leaves behind a legacy not of words, but of lives forever changed. The Pace community sends its deepest condolences to his family, particularly his wife, Lubin professor Hsu O'Keefe, and their children.

Reunion and the Golden Graduates Celebration

We're excited to welcome our alumni back to the New York City campus for Reunion and the Golden Graduates Celebration on June 11! The Golden Graduates Celebration is for graduates from the classes of 1976, 1971, 1966, 1961, and earlier. At Reunion, we will be honoring class years ending in 6s and 1s, and celebrating Pace's 120th anniversary.

The 1906 Challenge is Around the Corner!

From April 23-24, the Pace Community will come together to show their support for Pace students. Get ready for two days of exciting opportunities to raise funds for the Lubin School of Business, student scholarships, and other areas that help make Pace great!
